The Holiday Auto Theatre has been running since 1948, making it one of Ohio's oldest continuously operating drive-ins. It has one of the longest seasons in the state, opening in March and running through December. That means you can catch movies here well into the fall and even early winter. It's on Pleasant Avenue in Hamilton, an easy drive north on I-75.

The Starlite in Amelia operates a more typical season, April through October, with sound on 90.7 FM. It's east of the city off State Route 125 and tends to be a bit less crowded than Holiday on busy weekends.

Both theaters show double features of first-run movies and broadcast sound on FM radio. Cincinnati's drive-in season is one of the more generous in Ohio thanks to the city's location in the southern part of the state, where spring arrives a few weeks earlier and fall lingers a bit longer than up near Cleveland or Toledo.

If you're coming from Northern Kentucky, both drive-ins are about 30-40 minutes across the river. From downtown Cincinnati, take I-75 North for Holiday or I-275 East for Starlite. Arrive early on summer weekends, as both can fill up, especially on opening weekends and holidays.
